Purpose and Extent of this Policy

Tankee Inc (“We”, “us”, “Tankee” ) is committed to providing a mobile entertainment platform for children to watch the game videos they love, engage in a safe environment that is parent-approved, discover new games and more.  As a parent or legal guardian (“You”) of a child user of the Tankee App (“Child”, “Children”) the protection of your privacy and the privacy of your child are vitally important to us.  This Privacy Policy describes our information collection, disclosure, and parental consent practices with respect to information provided by you and your Child under the age of 13.  The App and this Privacy Policy have been developed in accordance with the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).  For more information about COPPA and general tips about protecting children’s online privacy, please visit the Federal Trade Commission’s “Protecting Kids Online” website (https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0031-protecting-your-childs-privacy-online.

 

Information We Collect

Information we collect during device activation

Whenever a user activates the App on a device, we collect:

  • Unique ID generated by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Your contact information, which may include an email address [or phone number]. 
  • Device information, such as hardware model, operating system version and unique device identifiers;
  • Username and password to enable Parental Control features (optional)

 

Aggregate Information

We collect statistical information about how both unregistered and registered users, collectively, use the Services ("Aggregate Information"). Some of this information is derived from Personal Information.

Activation is not complete until we obtain parental verification.  To obtain verification, we [utilize the parent’s email address to send the parent a message that allows for parental verification of device activation. If a parent does not confirm device activation within 7 days, we will delete the parent’s email address from our records].

 

Information we collect from Your Child

When a child registers to use the Tankee App, we collect the following non-personal information:

  • Year and season of birth (we do not collect birthdates) 
  • Gender
  • Location by ZIP Code 
  • Username as chosen by the child from a list of randomly generated choices
  • We will NEVER collect personally identifiable information from Your child, such as their  names, in whole or in part 

 

Information automatically collected from all users

The Tankee App may collect this information whenever a user has activated the App:

  • Device information, such as hardware model, operating system version and unique device identifiers;
  • Non-personal log information detailing how the App is used, the time spent watching a video, screens viewed, and actions taken within the App (including creation of Clips);
  • Search terms used within the App
  • Favorite games and/or favorite gamers – the App may allow users to select these favorites; if a user does so, Tankee will collect that data.
  • Timestamp of Sticker activity logs 

 

How We Use Information We Collect

We will utilize the information that we collect about you or your child to:

  • Offer users personalized content based on their previous usage of the app and search terms the user has entered into the app;
  • Customize the content displayed when you or your child use the App;
  • Prevent prohibited or illegal use of the app and to enforce the Terms of Service;
  • For any other purposes disclosed to you or your child at the time we collect the information or pursuant to your parental consent.

 

When We Disclose Collected Information

We may share information that is collected from you or your child in the following circumstances:

  • Business partners – We share Aggregate Information about You and Your Child with our partners, service providers and other persons with whom we conduct business. We share this type of statistical data so that our partners can understand how and how often people use our Services and their services or websites, which facilitates improving both their services and how our Services interface with them. In addition, these third parties may share with us information about you that they have independently developed or acquired.
  • Marketing and Advertising Partners – We share Aggregate Information about You and Your Child with trusted third-party marketing and advertising partners.  We will NEVER share any personally identifiable information about your child with any such trusted partner.  We will never share any information without your consent.
  • Changes to our Business – We may share information in connection with a substantial business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition or asset sale or if our assets are acquired by a third party in the unlikely event that we go out of business or enter bankruptcy.
  • Legal Requirements – We may disclose information about you or your child to government or law enforcement officials in response to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, law enforcement requests, legal claims or government inquiries, and to protect and defend the rights, interests, property, safety and security of Tankee Inc, our users, and the public.

 

Parental Access and Controls

We will always obtain parental consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from your child.  Parents may contact us to ask if we have collected their child’s user account information, to review that information, and to request that Tankee stop collecting this information and to have it deleted.  Such requests are subject to our verification through reasonable means that the requester is in fact the child’s parent.  Please send such requests to: help@tankee.com.

 

Protection of Information and Data Security

Tankee is 100% committed to protecting the integrity and security of you and your child’s information.  We have adopted a variety of reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to help protect this information from loss, alteration, and misuse.  However, no data security precautions or systems can be guaranteed to be completely secure.  We cannot guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our administrative, technical, or physical safeguards that are in place.

 

External Links and Third-Party Services

The Tankee App may include links that direct the user to a third party website or application, such as the Apple App Store or to an online retailer.  Parental approval is required in order for a user of the App to access such external links.  Tankee is not responsible for these third-party websites, companies or providers.  The existence of an external link within the Tankee App does not in any way infer that Tankee endorses or warrants the operator of the linked destination.  Use of the Tankee App may be subject to the terms and conditions and/or privacy policies of third-parties that Tankee does not control, such as mobile app stores, mobile software platforms or payment processors.  Please be aware that it is your responsibility to review the privacy policy of any such third-party.

 

COPPA Compliance

The Tankee App was developed in accordance with COPPA.  We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 in violation of COPPA.  In the event that a user identifies himself or herself as a child under the age of 13 through a question sent to Tankee or a support request, we will not collect, store or utilize in any way, and will delete in a secure manner, any personal information of such a user.

 

Changes and Updates to this Policy

Tankee may change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time.  These changes may occur in order to reflect changes in the law, our practice, or the features of the App.  Any such revisions to this Privacy Policy will be effective immediately upon posting on our website and/or via email notification.  Please check this Privacy Policy periodically to ensure that you are up to date on our most current policies and practices.  Your continued use of the Tankee App after the posting of changes constitutes your binding acceptance of such changes.
